Artist in My Residence

Nature takes over and has a way of permeating into old houses and structures... This is the underlying thought behind the Artist in Residence's latest oil... As I gazed at the painting for what seemed a long time... I knew the most engaging parts of it were the bamboo shoots and the sheen of the old stained glass window facade...
Things happen because they are meant to happen, in hindsight they are the only way to make sure that you sit back and see what was always there, what never left and what you need not hold on to... and I can see that stained glass through which the sun comes in everyday and leaves the prettiest impressions is still around... and don't forget the bamboo shoots... they are there because they are flexible enough to change when they need to... Let the change happen and watch the sun make pretty patterns on the walls... who needs an Artist in Residence when you have what some call 'Perspective'....

Art is a lie that makes us realize the truth, at least the truth that is given to us to understand.
